Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad, an Industrial Establishment under the Department of Atomic Energy is having its Unit ‘ZIRCONIUM COMPLEX’ at Pazhayakayal, Tuticorin District, Tamil Nadu and is also establishing a Green Field Project ‘NUCLEAR FUEL COMPLEX – KOTA’ at Rawatbhata, Kota, Rajasthan. As such online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following posts to be posted at (i) Nuclear Fuel Complex, Rawatbhata, Kota, Rajasthan and (ii) Zirconium Complex, Pazhayakayal, Tuticorin District, Tamil Nadu.

However, the selected candidates, on appointment are liable to serve in any of the Units of NFC and other constituent units of the Department of Atomic Energy located in different parts of the country. Details of posts and eligibility criteria for the posts are as under:-

SELECTION PROCEDURE (POST CODE 21901 to 21911 and 21931 to 21932)

Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test:

• The applicants who fulfill the requirements for the post will be called for Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test consisting of multiple choice Questions (Choice of four answers) in the relevant Discipline/Trade.

• Candidates will be awarded three (03) Marks for each correct answer and one (01) Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

• Test may be conducted in single/multiple sessions.

• General Candidates scoring less than 50% marks, SC /OBC candidates scoring less than 40% marks and ST candidates scoring less than 35% marks, in Stage-1 Test will be screened – out. Stage-2 (Interview):

• All candidates qualified in Stage-1 screening test will be required to appear for Physical Standard Test at NFC. Those candidates clearing in Physical Standard Test will be required to appear for personal interview.

• Marks scored in the Screening Test will not have any weightage for Selection of candidates. • Final Selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in Interview alone. SELECTION PROCEDURE (POST CODE 21912 to 21924, 21933 and 21941 to 21945) Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test:

• The applicants who fulfill the requirements will be called for Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test consisting of 50 Multiple choice Questions (Choice of four answers) (Mathematics – 20 Questions, Science – 20 Questions and General Awareness – 10 Questions) to be answered in one (01) hour duration.

• Candidates will be awarded three (03) Marks for each correct answer and one (01) Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

• Test may be conducted in single/multiple sessions.

• Candidates belonging to SC/ OBC and scoring less than 30% marks in Stage-1 Test will be screened – out. Similarly, other candidates scoring less than 40% marks in Stage-1 Test will be screened-out. Stage-2-Advance Test:

• All candidates screened in Stage-I will be allowed to undertake an advance test in their respective trade.

• The test will comprise 50 Multi Choice Questions (Choice of four answers) to be answered in two (02) hours duration. • Three (3) Marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one (1) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. • A merit list of the candidates based on the marks scored in Stage-2 (Advance Test) will be prepared. • Candidates belonging to SC/ OBC and scoring less than 20% marks in Stage-2 Test will be screened – out. Similarly, other candidates scoring less than 30% marks in Stage-2 Test will be screened-out.

Stage-3 – PHYSICAL STANDARD TEST FOLLOWED BY SKILL TEST:

• Based on the merit list prepared after Stage-2, candidates will be shortlisted for Physical Standard Test as per Table – ‘A’ above.

• Candidates clearing the Physical Standard Test will be allowed to appear for Stage-3 Skill Test.

• The number of candidates shortlisted for Stage-3 (Skill Test) will be decided based on the number of candidates qualifying in Stage 2. However, the number of candidates being shortlisted for Stage-3 Skill Test will not exceed 4 – 5 times the number of vacancies in Page 7 of 12 each trade.

• Stage-3 Skill Test is only to ascertain the skill of the candidate in the relevant trade and the test will be conducted on a Go/No-Go basis.

• Candidates clearing the skill test will be shortlisted and empanelled in the order of Merit based on the marks secured in Stage 2. SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR POST CODE: 21925 Level-I: Objective test covering General English, General Knowledge, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (Arithmetic). Minimum qualifying Standard in Level-I for SC/OBC candidates is 40% aggregate and for others is 50% aggregate. Candidates qualifying in Level-I exam will be called for Level-II (Descriptive) exam. Level-II: English language and comprehension (Descriptive Written Test). Empanelment will be based on the marks scored in Level-II (Main) only.

SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR POST CODE: 21926 Stage-I (Preliminary Test):

• The applicants who fulfill the requirements will be called for Stage-1 Preliminary Test consisting of 50 Multiple choice Questions (Choice of four answers) (Mathematics – 20 Questions, Science – 20 Questions and General Awareness – 10 Questions) to be answered in one (01) hour duration.

• Candidates will be awarded three (03) Marks for each correct answer and one (01) Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. • Test may be conducted in single/multiple sessions. • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and scoring less than 30% marks in Stage-1 Test will be screened – out. Similarly, other candidates scoring less than 40% marks in Stage-1 Test will be screened-out. Stage-II (Advance Test): • Candidates qualifying in Stage-I Preliminary Test will be eligible for Advanced Test comprising 50 objective type questions of two hour duration consisting of Mathematics (15 questions), Science (15 questions), General Awareness (10 questions) and Basic English (10 questions). • Candidates will be awarded three (03) Marks for each correct answer and one (01) Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. • Final Selection of the candidates will be based on the scores obtained in Stage-II (Advance Test). • In the event of tie in Stage-II, the marks scored by the candidates in both Stage-I and Stage-II Tests will be considered for empanelment.
